A report has been published looking at the association between access to pediatric trauma care in the United States and the number of children killed in car crashes.
The study, published in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, showed access to pediatric trauma care is highly variable across the U.S.
It revealed counties with pediatric trauma centers had significantly lower rates of pediatric motor vehicle collisions death than those with no trauma center.
