Euro NCAP will host a conference, “In Pursuit of Vision Zero”, on September 12 in Antwerp, as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
Speakers at the event will reflect on 20 years of achievement. Euro NCAP will also launch its Road Map 2025, setting out the programme’s priorities for the future.
The conference will be officially opened by Kris Peeters, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, Economy and Consumer Affairs of Belgium. It will include high level speakers, policymakers and auto industry stakeholders.
A workshop on the “Safety of Automated Vehicles” will take place and road safety experts will form a discussion panel, facilitated by David Ward, Global NCAP Secretary General. The expert panel will include:
- Pierre Castaing, Head of Regulatory Affairs, UTAC CERAM Group and Euro NCAP President
- Peter Shaw, CEO, Thatcham Research
- Monique Goyens, Director General, The European Consumer Organisation, BEUC
